A bright addition to the football field is the LumaDown, LED down marker. Avatar has developed a self-powered, illuminated down marker with LED technology for a high tech appearance on the field.  With 10mm Super Red light emitting diodes, spectators will have a clearly discernable view of the current down in all weather conditions. Digit is 10” H X 6” W and no mechanical parts to jam or tear. Changing the down is as easy as pushing the button. The LumaDown is constructed of expanded polyvinyl with an extruded aluminum frame. LumaDown is light, at less than  8.5 pounds total with batteries.  Pole is 1/8” wall X 11/4” diameter aluminum tube padded with 2.75” foam with a protective covering of  orange high-strength poly webbing for long life. Clamp ring secures the display head in place. The display head is edged with ¼” thick  rubber covering rounded corners for safety.  Power source is (7) AA alkaline or NiMH batteries that are easily replaced. Battery life for alkaline batteries is over 25 hours under normal operation. Excellent choice for a team spirit builder from the booster club!
